Spraaaaang!

Dear God, is it finally Spring? Does 47 and sunny count as Spring? This weather situation has turned really unfortunate. Winter starts right around Thanksgiving and goes until April now and Summer starts in May and goes until Halloween. We've lost the best two seasons and pretty much wrapped the calendar in the other two. It sucks and I don't like it.

But today, I'm calling it Spring. We got up and went for a family run and then worked in the yard until dinner time. We cooked steaks on the grill and made vegan berry cobbler and had a grand time all in all. Today he ate 2 pieces of toast, 2 pieces of sausage, 3 bowls of cereal and milk, a handful of strawberries for breakfast. He had a hot dog, french fries and I don't know, 40 pickle slices for lunch, and then steak, a sweet potato, a baked potato, and two bowls of berry cobbler for dinner. He weighs 25 pounds. That is easily 5 pounds of food. The ratio seems unsustainable.

His talking has really taken a jump in these last few weeks. He repeats all kinds of stuff that we say, but some of his favorites are:

Butt Butt--as in I have a butt, I have a dirty diaper on my butt, or I just heard someone use the conjunction "but".
Bob--Bob is our neighbor, but he is also apparently any squirrel or anything out the window really.
Poop--I may or may not have pooped. You should probably check it out.
Mose--he means 'more' and he means NOW. give him more of that and give it to him now.
Buckle--can you please take me to something that has a buckle on it?
Mondo--Mondo is my friend at daycare. It's really fun to say his name
Tank You--Thank you for this thing you did for me. You do so much for me. You do almost everything for me.
Hep--Please help me with this task that I can totally do myself.
Mine--This is mine. That is mine. Everything you see here is mine. (this one is getting old)
Melk--My friend Zachary struggles with this one too. It's just milk. How did an "e" get in there?
Bite--I know I wasn't supposed to, but I just bit you.

He just loves being outside. We're all so glad the weather is starting to turn, because our new favorite thing is to walk down to the park. They have all kinds of good stuff, but he prefers the swings and the slides. There's one pretty big slide over there, the one from a previous blog that looks like we just threw him down, that he's pretty much mastered. He climbs up the stairs, climbs up a few ladders and then says 1, 2 and then slides down. We're still working on 1, 2, 3. It's high and he goes fast and his just giggles all the way down. I can't wait to ride the Big Slide with him at the fair this summer.

We all love him so much. I'm not sure anything I could write here could really convey how wonderful he is.
